Founded by Wellington native Jono Paetz, Ako is the culmination of a lifelong career dedicated to world-class food, wine, and service. In Māori, the word Ako means both to learn and to teach—a dual philosophy that sits at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission is to share the true diversity of New Zealand’s viticulture with Sweden. While many know us for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, we are here to show that our home offers so much more. From mineral-driven Rieslings and textured Chenin Blancs to powerful Syrahs, we bring you the bottles that beautifully represent the unique landscapes that formed them.
